PETERSVILLE-On Saturday, February 12 the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported an attack on a grandmother by her grandson with a pipe wrench at Highway 157 in Florence.
It has been reported Caleb Dakota Druckemiller, 18 allegedly attacked his grandmother with a pipe wrench after an argument became physical. Druckemillers grandmother said her grandson punched her and hit her in the head with the wrench.
According to court documents, Caleb Druckemiller was at home with his grandmother when she washed a blanket of his. She returned the blanket and was dusting his room when Druckemiller became violent.
Druckemiller’s grandmother said she was able to escape her grandson after being chased through her home. She said she barricaded herself in her bedroom. Her grandson attempted to break through the bedroom door, after which his grandmother went through a window and called 911 from a neighbor’s house.
The grandmother was treated at North Alabama Medical Center and released.
Lauderdale County deputies entered the home and arrested Druckemiller. Druckemiller has been charged with attempted murder, menacing and criminal mischief 3rd.
Caleb Dakota Druckemiller is being held in the Lauderdale County Jail on a bond of $60,400.
