LeRoy Russell, age 90, of Huntsville, passed away February 5, 2022.
LeRoy was born June 9, 1931, to George and Stella Russell at the family home in New Market, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jack Russell, and Billy Russell. LeRoy was a Veteran of the US Navy and served in the Korean War. He retired from South Central Bell.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Louise Barlow Russell; children Robby Russell (Cyndi), Huntsville, AL, and daughter Debbie Russell O’Brien (Ian), Atlanta, GA; 3 grandchildren, Benjamin Russell, Caroline Russell and Emily Russell, Huntsville, AL; brother Oren Russell (Selma Rhea), Strawberry Plains, TN; sister, Mabel Jo Patterson (Virgil), Dandridge, TN; niece Pam Liedel (Scott).
The family is grateful to the staff of Crestwood Hospital and Huntsville Hospital Hospice Family Care for their kindness and support in his final days.
Burial was held in New Market, TN. Berryhill Funeral Home assisted the family.
