Funeral service for Gaston Michael Nelson, age 32 , of Trinity, will be Tuesday, November 30, 2021, 12:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Eugene McNutt officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Nelson, who died Thursday, November 25, 2021, at the Parkway Campus of Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born July 12, 1989, in Decatur, AL, to James Nelson and Teresa Gaston Nelson. He was preceded in death by his brother, Nathaniel Nelson; maternal grandparents, Cecil and Kathleen Gaston; paternal grandparents, Louis and Cora Nelson; and one uncle, Todd Gaston.
He is survived by his parents, James and Teresa Nelson of Trinity, AL; sister, Jamie Gilbert (Brandon) of Nashville, TN; one nephew, Ryne Gilbert of Nashville, TN; two uncles, Alan Gaston of Trinity, AL, and John Nelson of Decatur, AL; two aunts, Betsy Knighten of Priceville, AL, and Martha Steveson of Decatur; and one cousin, Shaun Gaston of Oklahoma. Gaston was loved and will be greatly missed by his family.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
