Funeral services for Ms. Nola Wood, age 89, are scheduled for 2:00pm Tuesday, October 19, 2021 in the Chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with burial to follow in Henderson County Memory Gardens. Ms. Wood passed away Saturday in Lexington. She was a member of Beech Lake Baptist Church and a homemaker. Ms. Wood was born July 28, 1932 in Henderson County to the late Barry Washington and Hessie Mae Maness Denison; She was preceded in death by husband- Lanoice Wood, one son Jimmy Wood, one daughter- Judy Jones, one brother-Paul Denison and one sister- Alice Marie Denison; Survivors include one daughter- Sheree Brown (Mark), three brothers- Jim Denison (Shelby), Cole Denison (Betty) and Ronnie Denison (Cindy), two sisters- Nancy McElvain and Patricia Prater, 6 grandchildren- Dustin Jones, Shawn Wood (Jaclyn), Amber Vaughn (Chris), Stephanie Stanford (Michael), Molly Taylor (Austin) and Madison Brown and 7 great grandchildren.
