James Edward (Eddy) Buchanan, age 79 of Winchester, passed away on Monday, August 30, 2021, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Franklin County on February 15, 1942, to the late Fred and Geneva Faye (Reynolds) Buchanan. Eddy served in the Tennessee Army National Guard. Before his retirement, he worked as a carpenter for Sain Construction Company. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and frogging, as well as working puzzles. He loved old cars and collected stamps, coins, knives, and guns. A real handyman, Eddy enjoyed building things for his family, especially his nieces to enjoy. His family will remember him for his great sense of humor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Wayne Buchanan. Eddy is survived by his loving nieces, Angie (Jamie) Coffelt of Winchester, and Jennifer (Kevin) Alexander of Meridianville, Alabama; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Isaac, Matthew, Montana, and Tanya Coffelt, and Makayla Alexander.
