Joseph Thomas Zawada, age 74 of Winchester, passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Elk River Health and Rehabilitation Center after a long illness. He was born in Akron, Ohio on July 20, 1947 to the late Frank and Leona (Costick) Zawada. Joseph served his country in the United States Army. He retired from Time Warner Cable in Akron, Ohio where he was employed as a technician and moved to Tennessee in 2009. Joseph enjoyed boating and fishing in his spare time. He was of the Catholic faith. In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank Zawada and Michael Zawada. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of over fifty years, Claudia Zawada of Winchester; children, Shawn (Jackie) Zawada of Warner Robins, Georgia, and Chris (Rachael) Zawada of Ashtabula, Ohio; brother, James Zawada of Virginia; grandchildren, Zachary Zawada, Zoey Zawada, Dominic, Leslie, Madalyn, and Devon Zawada; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
