Billy “pop ” Evans, age 81, of Greenbrier, died on March 19, 2021 at the Skyline Medical Center. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00pm on Monday, March 22, 2021 at the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Greenbrier with Bro. Donnie Bryant and Ivan Bell officiating. Burial will follow in the Springfield Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00am – 2:00pm at the Greenbrier Chapel.
Billy was born on March 12, 1940 in Winchester, Tennessee to the late Homer Leon and Jessie Lee Berryhill Evans. He was a retired insurance salesman with AIG Insurance Company and was of Baptist faith. He love gardening, East Robertson Softball, and most of all his family.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Harold and Homer Evans; sisters, Jenny Evans and Sara Phillips.
Billy is survived by his loving wife, Gwendolyn Evans of Greenbrier; son and daughter-in-law, Devin and Christy Evans of Cross Plains; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Mike Collins of Hendersonville; brother, Leacle Evans of Chicago, Illinois; sister, JoAnn Duranti of Deltona, Florida, Becky Evans of Florida; grandchildren, Dual Evans, Baily Evans, Talon Evans, Tanner Calonge, and Presley Calonge; great-grandchildren, Baylee Evans, Hudson Evans, and Mason Evans.
