Marlene Hill Hard 81 of Huntsville passed away Friday, March 19, 2021 at her home.
Her Funeral Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Albertville Memorial Chapel with burial to follow at Brashers Chapel Cemetery. Rev. Dana Workman will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Chris Edwards, Hunter Gillilan, Doyle Hard, Hoyle Hard, Stuart Hartley and John Hill. Honorary Pallbearers are Jared Cole Crowson and Christian Ryan Sutphin Visitation will be 12:30 until 2 before the service.
She is Preceded in death by her parents R.L. Hill and Lucille East Hill. Brothers James Garland Hill, Kenneth Delane Hill and infant sister Carolyn Jeweldean Hill.
Survivors include her Loving Husband of 64 years Rex Hard; daughters Janice Hard Crowson (Stan) and Julie Violet Sutphin; grandchildren Jared Cole Crowson (Dana) Courtney Crowson Edwards (Chris) and Christian Ryan Sutphin and 7 Great Grandchildren. Sister Judy Dean Morrow (Wade) and Edwin Hugh Hill (Emma)
Marlene was a woman of strong convictions, loving her Savior and her family deeply. She was a true warrior of a woman whose preferred weapon was prayer. When she prayed for you, you knew it. She believed deeply in caring for and giving to those who were in need, whether the need was a physical one or just some extra love and encouragement.
She had a wicked wit and sang constantly. Her singing usually blessed you with the old hymns, be she might also make up silly songs about what she was doing at the moment or you as the listener. She reveled in attending the activities of and supporting her grandchildren, cheering and applauding with gusto.
