James Edward Crayton Jr. ObituaryA Memorial Service for Mr. James Edward Crayton, 52 of Decatur will be noon Saturday, March  6, 2021 at United Pentecostal Jubilee House of Prayer with Bishop T. D. Strong officiating. Public viewing will only be held on Wednesday from 1:00 till 5:00  at Reynolds Funeral Home.

Brother James Crayton, Jr., was born on October 24, 1968 in Lawrence County, AL, to Gladys Fuqua Pointer and James Crayton, Sr.  He departed this life on February 26, 2021 at Decatur Morgan Hospital-Parkway campus in Decatur, AL.

He was baptized at an early age at Pentecostal House of Prayer under the leadership of the late Bishop A. C. Strong.  James had a great love for God and the church.  He loved talking about God and the miracles he witnessed. He was taught well in the Word of God by his pastor and his mother.

He never owned a business, but he had a passion for detailing cars. He was one of the best.  He was sought by many for his great performance. He served in the church as a drummer and assisted in many other areas. Many other talents did he have. He had great love for his children, his family and friends. He was very polite and had great respect for others.

He was preceded in death by his; siblings, Larry Crayton and Diana Crayton

He leaves behind: his six wonderful children, Kajuana Carter (Benjamin), Keewanda Crayton, Corlandus Crayton (Tina), Jacob Crayton, Tyquesha Crayton and Deasia Burgess; his mother, Pastor Gladys Crayton Pointer; nine grandkids, Alayah Williams, Braedyn and Brendin Tiapula, Alonna and Alayazia Crayton, Zerica and Zayden Burgess, Haiden Crayton, Xyionnie Burgess; his siblings, Barry Crayton, Carrie Davis (Corey), Christopher Crayton (Niki), Gary Crayton, Mary Baldwin, Kim Malone (Marcus), Devuon Delony (Jackie); a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
