John Leslie Shafer, 89, of Huntsville passed away May 9, 2020.
He is survived by his daughter, Vicki Hart; son, Jay Shafer; one grandchild, Misty Monks; three great grandchildren, Meaghan, Hannah and Hunter; two nephews, Terry Shafer and Dale Shafer; special friend, Donna Smith; Papa John’s extra family, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 15, 2020, 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home, followed by a Memorial Service at 4:00 p.m. officiated by John Lancaster.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Huntsville Christian Church in John’s memory, 117 Indian Creek Road, Huntsville, AL 35806.
