Betty Joyce Heard 80, of Elkmont, AL died Thursday, December 19, 2019 at her home.
Born Tuesday, September 5, 1939 in Decatur, AL, she was the daughter of Audie Lumpkin Michael and Virginia Frances Hatchett.
Ms. Betty lived here all her life and was a member of Boyds Chapel Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer Dean Heard; grandson, Damion Heard, Sr.
She is survived by sons, Jerry (Brenda) Heard, Elkmont, AL and Troy (Mollie) Heard, Prospect, TN; sister, Reba Blakely, Ardmore, AL; 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, AL, at 2:00 PM with Bro. Lon Ostrzycki officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
Pallbearers will be Bradley Clem, Andrew Heard, Aaron Heard, Steven McDowell, Rhondy Boddie, Karsen Storey, Camron Mann and Damion Heard, Jr.
