Robert Lee Lauderdale, 88, of Elkmont, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Athens Limestone Hospital. Mr. Lauderdale was born November 9, 1931 in Limestone County to Richard Lauderdale and Anna Buchanan Lauderdale.
Funeral services for Mr. Lauderdale will be held on Friday, December 20, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Dee Lauderdale officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 12:00 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
He is survived by his son, Bobby Lauderdale and wife Elaine; daughter, Dr. Donna Lauderdale Lemay and husband Anthony; grandchildren, Katheryn Newton and husband Daniel, Benjamin Lauderdale and wife Kelli and Dr. Zachary Mosher and wife Erin; step grandchildren, Carla Lemay Wise and husband Greg and Marccia Hunter; great grandchildren, Greyson Lauderdale and Baylor Newton; step great grandchildren, Brodie Wise, Judah Wise, Bella Wise, James Lee Champion and Knox Champion; brother, Donald Lauderdale and wife Sheila; sister, Robbie Gozia; several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Ann Marsh Lauderdale; 4 brothers; 2 sisters.
Pallbearers are Ben Lauderdale, Zach Mosher, Daniel Newton, Greyson Lauderdale, Randall Allen and Jessie Hobbs.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked to please make donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Memphis, TN or to Samaritan’s Purse Ministries.
