On Friday, July 12, 2019, Robert Dwayne Tinsley of Huntsville, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away at the age of 64.
At 15, he met his future wife, Pam. They were married for 46 years. In that time, they had two daughters who later gave them four beloved grandchildren.
Robert was widely regarded for his garden and landscape design talent. In retirement, most days he enjoyed hours working in his beautiful yard, cultivating a panorama of flowers, greenery, and fountains.
However, he was best known for devotion to family and friends, and a jovial nature that endeared everyone. Robert had a servant’s heart and an unwavering willingness to help those around him. He loved playing with his grandchildren and watching Alabama football. A self-proclaimed barbecue master, Robert never missed opportunities to tell anyone and everyone how good his “butt” was. He hosted countless backyard cookouts while being the life of the party.
Robert was predeceased by his parents, Robert Tinsley and Mary Lombardo; and sister, Teena Turner. Survivors include his wife, Pam Tinsley; brother, Howard Tinsley (Laura); stepbrothers, Andy and Jerry Andrews, Kenneth and Ronnie Venable; daughters, Taua Patrick (Brian) and Danae Boyd (Brandon); grandchildren, Alex and Kate Patrick, and Emilia and James Boyd.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 17th from 1:00 to 3:00 with a memorial service directly following at Berryhill Funeral Home.
