Clara Ruth Philpot Andrews, age 66, passed away at her home on June 20, 2019. She was born on May 2, 1953 in Ardmore, AL to Benton and Charley June Phillips Philpot. She was married to the late Melvin Jerome “Bud” Andrews.
She is survived by her 2 children, Charles Jerome and Benita June Andrews.
She was a 1970 graduate of Athens Bible Schools. She recently retired from the state of Alabama after 18 years of service. She worked 7 years as a home health aide for Limestone County Home Health and the last 11 years as an administrative assistant for Limestone County Department of Human Resources. She was a member of Ephesus Church of Christ. She loved sewing, gardening, as well as spending time with family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Limestone Chapel Funeral home at 2:00 p.m. with Robert Fudge, Matt Lannon and Donny Rogers officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Tommy Coblentz, Jerry Hicks, James Kenneth Bobo, Jimmy Rupp, Bob Brooks and David Holt. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Athens Bible School Class of 1970.
