Jimmie Gray Hills, age 79, of Athens, passed away June 29, 2018. Visitation will be Sunday, July 1, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Monday, July 2, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Center Star Cemetery.
Jimmie was employed as a barber for over 62 years, serving as a personal barber for George Jones for 30 years. He was a member of Faith Church and was a veteran of the US Navy during the Vietnam era.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ann Hills; parents, Bill and Ethel Hills, and son-in-law, Leslie Jones.
Survivors include his wife, Barb Wood Hills; children, Donna Jones, Danny Hills (Sharon); step-children, April DeLuna (Pete), Syble Schult (Travis) and Johni Sutton (Bo); nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bo Sutton, Pete DeLuna, Tim McBay, Travis Schult, Casey Jones, Pedro DeLuna, Channing DeLuna and Rio Sutton.
