Don Joseph “Joey” Burleson, 57, of Florence, Alabama died January 25, 2018. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 27th at 10:00 a.m. for family and close friends on Wheeler Lake, where he was raised.
Joey was a good man that would do anything for anyone. He was a son, a brother, an uncle, a father, and grandfather. He had a passion for playing guitar, listening to classic rock and watching Auburn football.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lilly “Constance” Burleson.
He is survived by his father, Don Burleson, his children, Samuel Burleson (Victoria Burleson), Jenni Akins (Major Akins); his four grandchildren, Taegen Burleson, Jaycee Burleson, Amos Akins and Faris Akins; his sisters, Caroline Endicott, Grace Heinrich (Stephen Heinrich); nieces and nephews, Christina Endicott, Conner Endicott, Jacob Mitchell and Lauren Bowen.
