William Harvey Herchenhahn, 80, passed away on Oct. 15, 2017. He was born on Feb. 12, 1937, in Decatur. William retired from Fruehauf as a production supervisor. He coached the Dixie youth baseball team and worked with Junior Achievement. William was a member of Parkview Baptist Church. He will be missed by all who knew him.
William is preceded in death by parents, William Andrew and Linnie Mae Herchenhahn; and brother, Leon Herchenhahn.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Betty Sutton Herchenhahn; children, Tanna Herchenhahn and Randall Herchenhahn (Lana); grandchildren, Taylor Herchenhahn and Katie Herchenhahn; sisters, Shelby Wilson and Margaret Clark; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Nephews will be pallbearers.
A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017, at 3 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with Reverend Rayford Milligan officiating. A visitation will be from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
