Bonnie Kay Morris, age 82, passed away peacefully on October 4th, 2026. She was born on February 24th, 1944, to Walter John Griffin and Evelyn Vinona Swartz.
Bonnie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Marcus D. Morris; sister, Nona Holmes; stepchildren, Derrick Morris (Tana) and Amanda Roland; step-grandchildren, Payton Morris, Hayden Morris, and Braxton Morris; and nieces and nephews, David Holmes (Jamie), Pamela Jenkins, Jeffrey Holmes (Kristina), and Sherri Gavin (John).
She was preceded in death by her parents; nephew, Donald Holmes; nephew-in-law, Larry Jenkins; and brother-in-law, Harry C. Holmes Jr.
Bonnie enjoyed crocheting, listening to Southern Gospel music, and following Alabama sports. Above all, she cherished her family and the time she spent with those she loved. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 8th, 2026, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m., with the service beginning at 11:00 a.m. David Cox will officiate. Burial will follow at Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be the elders and deacons of Market Street Church of Christ.
Limestone Chapel Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
