Annette Hutchens Hubbard, a deeply loved resident of Grant, Alabama, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 6, 2026. Born on July 1, 1968, Annette lived a vibrant life centered on faith, service, and a boundless love for her family.
Annette’s life was a testament to the joy of serving others. A faithful and dedicated member of Redemption Church of God in Owens Crossroads, she poured her heart into her church family for years. Her voice and spirit uplifted many during her eight years on the praise and worship team. With a warm smile and a servant’s heart, she also led the welcome team for five years and spent six and a half years faithfully leading the cleaning team. Annette loved her church family deeply, and her tireless devotion left an indelible mark on her congregation and community.
Annette was preceded in death by grandparents, Cleveland and Gurtha Hutchens and Willie and Clara Fryar; father, James J.C Hutchens; Two sisters, Teresa Hutchens and Angela Holcomb; and her mother and father-in-law who loved her as a daughter, Thurman and Clara (Teal) Hubbard.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 37 years, Bobby Hubbard, her cherished son, Shaun Hubbard, both of whom were the absolute light of her life. Her mother Virginia Hutchens and two brothers, Anthony Hutchens, Andrew Hutchens (Kristina) and all of her nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
She is also remembered with deep affection by a close-knit circle of extended church family, her beloved brothers and sisters in Christ.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Thursday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home. A celebration of Annette’s beautiful life and unwavering faith will be held Friday at 2:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Joey Northcutt and Bro. Thomas Dunn officiating. Together, family and friends will honor the legacy of a woman who loved fiercely and served selflessly.
Interment will follow at Byrd Cemetery in Owens Cross Roads, Alabama. Pallbearers will be Lewis Ledbetter, James Holiday, Roger Walling, Keith Conville, Scott Everton and Jeremy Black.
