Terry Dale Amerson

following his press conference that was held earlier today, July 26:

“Our department has arrested three people in connection with the murder of Brenton Gatlin Tuesday night. Our staff has been out all night and all day today working to determine what occurred inside the residence at 712 Horton Street shortly before 10:00. At this time we have a lot of ground left to cover in this investigation. Please understand this investigation is still very active and I cannot jeopardize it by going into detail on what we have learned so far. I can say we have cause to believe the victim was a friend or acquaintance of the suspects.

We also believe this started as a robbery of the victim and in the commission of that robbery the victim was shot. The following people have been arrested.

2- Terry Dale Amerson , 22 years old, 20095 Townsend Ford Road Athens, AL
