Two Arrested Charged With Several Drug Charges

FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department released a statement regarding a routine traffic stop that became a drug bust at a residence, 739 Sannoner Ave in Florence on Saturday, November 12:

“On Saturday morning, shortly before noon, Florence patrol officer Jason Novak was patrolling in the area of Sannoner Ave when he observed a traffic violation. Ofc. Novak activated his emergency lights and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at 739 Sannoner Ave, Florence, AL. He found the vehicle to be occupied by Mr. Jeremy F. Hamner, 30, who resides at that address. Ofc. Novak’s investigation of the traffic stop led to the seizure of drug paraphernalia from within the vehicle. As the call progressed officers made contact with a female, identified as Jacqueline M.

Hamner, 27, who was inside the residence at 739 Sannoner. Officer immediately detected the strong smell of marijuana from within the home. They also located two juveniles, under the age of 6, within the residence. As officers continued their investigation they located

an elaborate indoor marijuana grow within the home. More than 10 mature marijuana plants were located within the home as well as additional loose marijuana. The Department of Human Resources was contacted to insure the safety of the minor children. The Hamner’s are charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and two counts of Exposing Children to Narcotics. Mrs. Hamner was released from custody upon posting a bond of $13,500. Mr. Hamner remains in the Lauderdale County Detention Center on bond totaling $13,500.”
