Harold Dean West – Obituary

Harold Dean West, 74, died Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born January 25, 1942, to Lonnie James and Alice Airdell Bolton West. He was owner and operator of M & W Truck Service and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing softball, and watching NASCAR.

Services will be at 5 p.m. Friday, October 28, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Jim Holcomb and Bro. Henry Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in the Stephens Cemetery.

Survivors include one son, Patrick West (Shannon) of Mantachie; three daughters, Tami West Miles (Bryan) of Belden, Marcia West of Tupelo, and Katy West McCully (Marty) of Saltillo; one brother, Wayne S. West (Sharon) of Mantachie; one sister, Marylin Snoot (Roger) of Brunswick, OH; one sister-in-law, Jeanette West of Mantachie; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Dodson West, in 1976; one brother, James A. West; two sisters, Edith Fowler and Judy Setser; and his parents.

Pallbearers will be Steve Milam, Brody West, Gage Garrett, Israel Chandler, Steven West, and Alex Hill.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 3 p.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
