FRANKLIN COUNTY-A 1-year-old Franklin County child is dead and the boyfriend of the child’s mother has been arrested in this death

along with the mother of the child.
Shannon Gargis, 28 has been charged with Capital Murder in the death of the child. The child’s mother, Hailey Rose Renfroe, 20 has been charged in then case as well. Renfroe has been charged with Aggravated Child Abuse according to Franklin County Sheriff Shannon Oliver.
Authorties say when they arrived at the home on Railsplitter Road Phil Campbell around 3 A.M. Tuesday morning in they found the child dead.
Oliver said the child had signs of what appeared to be physical abuse. The sheriff also stated an autopsy will be done on the child to help determine cause of death.
The two suspects are in the Franklin County Jail. Bond has yet to be set in this case.
