Mrs. Virgil Marie Borne, 84, passed away at her home Monday March 22, 2016. She was born in Palmer, Tennessee on March 27, 1931 to Virgil Franklin and Rena Belle Higgins Green who preceded her in death along with her husband, Leonard Melvin “Snood” Borne; sister, Carrie Borne; great grandson, Sydney Borne.
She is survived by her daughter, Pam (Danny) Green; sons, Gary and Lorne Borne; brother, Bobby Loyd (Perky) Green; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews: uncle, Kelly (Patsy) Higgins.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Clayton Jones officiating with burial to follow in the Burkett’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation: 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM Wednesday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
