Gary Lee Adams – Obituary

garyGary Lee Adams, 68, of Madison passed away Wednesday. He battled cancer for 24 years, and later had advanced renal failure, and congestive heart failure. He died peacefully in his sleep and went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus during the early morning hours of Feb 17th, 2016. Gary was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Huntsville and previously interpreted for the deaf, taught an adult Sunday school class and was an usher and deacon for many years. Gary graduated South Broward High School (1965) in FL., graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans (BS Electrical Engineering) and Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO. Gary is survived by wife: Rebecca Peppers Adams, sons: William Matthew and Preston Lee, daughters-in-law: Tonya and Vicki, 4 granddaughters (Emily, Ashley, Summer, Sky) and one grandson (William Lee). Gary is also survived by his mother Ethel Ling Adams, four sisters: Deborah Adams of FL, Cindy (husband Mike Martin), Victoria (husband Tim Whitaker), Stephanie (husband Paul Sekaz) of North Carolina, and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday at 6:00 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church, 3217 Village Dr. SW, Huntsville, AL. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations should be made to Friendship Baptist Church in Gary’s name, 3217 Village Dr. SW, Huntsville, AL 35805 for their building campaign.
