maxMax Ronald Isom passed away November 10, 2015 at NMMC- Hamilton. He was born Saturday, April 25, 1931 in Marion County, Alabama to Arlington and Mary King Isom. Max was a member of American Legion for 61 years, Hackleburg City Council 40 years, US postal mail carrier 36 years, also member of Hackleburg Church of Christ. And the owner of a gas station for years in Hackleburg. Visitation will be from 12 – 2p.m. November 12, 2015 at Marion County Funeral Home. The service will follow at 2 p.m. Tony Glenn will officiate. Burial in the Cedar Tree Cemetery with Military Honors. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Rebra Fowler Isom; parents, Arlington and Mary King Isom. He leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Margaret Isom; daughter, Deborah Koelbel; sons, Ronald Isom, Rodney Isom (wife, June); Stepson, Skiffy Flippo; step daughters, Mitzi McDaniel (husband, Revis), Toni Glenn (husband, Tony), Angie Kerr (husband, Tim); brother, John Isom (wife, Debra); sister Pam Isom; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. In lieu of flower make donations to: Amercan Legion Hackleburg Post 165 P.O. Box 228 Hackleburg, AL. 35564 Marion County Funeral Home assisted the family.
