Polly Briney Jewell, age 95, of Athens passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015 at the residence of her daughter and son-in-law. She was born June 1, 1920 in Hazel Green, AL to Dallas Earl Fountain Andrews and Lena Frances Gregory Andrews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Dallas and Lena Andrews and husbands Hershel Lee Briney and Fred Jewell.
There will be a private graveside service Tuesday, November 3, 2015 with Daniel Binkley, Dennis Fitzpatrick and William Partain , sons-in-law officiating. Visitation will be Monday, November 2, 2015 from 6:00PM-8:00PM at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home.
Polly is survived by her daughters: Rebecca Lynn Fitzpatrick (Dennis), Deborah Jean Binkley (Daniel), Susan Gail Partain (William) and Bonnie Lee Hendrix (Donald). She is also survived by seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.
She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Pallbearers will be: Daniel Binkley, William Partain, Dennis Fitzpatrick, Brian Jarrett, Jeff and Amy Binkley.
