Natchez-Trace-PW-logoHEADQUARTERS, TUPELO, MS: “During September 2015, the Natchez Trace Parkway experienced a slight decrease in the number of recreational visits over the 2014 figures,” stated Superintendent Mary Risser. “This year, 476,818 used the Parkway during September 2015 compared to 488,825 who were counted in 2014.”  The continued drop in numbers is attributed to faulty traffic counters located in the high traffic areas in Raymond, Ridgeland, Kosciusko, and Tupelo, MS.  We are working with the office that collects the data to correct the problem with the traffic counters.
