Upon receiving this information, Officer Rios was placed on administrative leave.

On July 23, 2026, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office charged Carlos Rios with two counts of Domestic Violence Third Degree.

Rios was arrested in Jefferson County. Rios remains on administrative leave.
