Frank L. Newman, 89, passed away Aug. 31, 2015, at Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home after an extended illness. Mr. Newman was a World War II Naval veteran and beloved husband, father and grandfather.
Mr. Newman is survived by wife, Frances Lafan Newman; son, Michael Frank Newman; brother, James Doyle Newman; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents, Henry and Mattie Newman, and sisters, Margaret Forsythe and Charlene Newman.
The funeral service for Mr. Newman will be today at 2 p.m. at Greenhill Funeral Home. There will be a one hour visitation before the service. Brother Miles Stutts will officiate. Burial will be in Loretto Memorial Gardens, with full military honors.
