Elda Katherine Corsale Citrano – Obituary

Elda Katherine Corsale Citrano, 83, of Huntsville passed away Tuesday. Mrs. Citrano was a native of Plainfield, NJ. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church where she was a coordinator of Eucharistic Adoration for 29 years. Mrs. Citrano was a member of the Ladies Huntsville/Madison County Dental Alliance. For 12 years, she was the head librarian at the M.O.S. Library on Redstone Arsenal. Mrs. Citrano was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen Corsale and Wilhelmina Iannucci Corsale; sisters, Frances Curry and Elvira Vail; and brothers, Albert Corsale, Fred Corsale and Victor Corsale.

Survivors include her husband, Dr. Sam J. Citrano, Sr.; daughters, Lisa Citrano of Huntsville, Karen Watson of Daphne, Amy Mayben (Jim), and Donna Counts (Michael) all of Huntsville; sons, Louis Citrano and Dr. Sam J. Citrano, Jr., both of Huntsville; grandchildren, Jordan Counts, Samantha Counts and Mary Catherine Watson; and numerous relatives.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 3, with a rosary at 10:30 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. The funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church with Father Michael Mac Mahon officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Counts, Jordan Counts, Jim Mayben, Louis Noto, Todd Case and Greg Tumminello.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, the American Kidney Foundation or Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
