Funeral services for Mr. Barry Neal Townsend, age 60, are scheduled for 11 AM, Wednesday, July 22, 2015 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with Rev. Mark McCaslin officiating. Mr. Townsend passed away Sunday in Lexington. He was born May 4, 1955 in Lexington. He was a self-employed in plumbing, electrical, heat, & air, and loved his work, his family, and helping people. He was a member of Center Ridge Methodist Church and an avid fan of the New York Mets. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Wilma Townsend and a granddaughter, Brittney Sanderson. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Terry Townsend of Lexington; his three daughters, Shelley (Grady) Sanderson of Sardis, Sarah and Katie Townsend of Lexington; his father, Mr. Lyman Townsend of Lexington; two brothers, Lynn Townsend of Lexington and David Townsend of Collierville; two grandchildren, Kelley and Kinley Sanderson; and his mother-in-law, Ella Franklin.
