Johnathon Marcellus Cain
ATHENS-One suspect arrested on charges of Rape Second Degree in Athens on Wednesday, July 15th. Here is the statement issued by Athens Police Chief Floyd Johnson:
“Johnathon Marcellus Cain was arrested this morning for Rape 2nd degree. Yesterday the police department received a report from a 13 year olds mother that her daughter had sexual intercourse with a 19 year old male. After an investigation into the complaint Investigator Bret Constable arrested Cain this morning. In this case sexual intercourse was consensual. It took place in a vehicle on Henry Drive. This is a case of statutory rape where the victim is 13 and the offender is 19. Cain was booked at the police department and transferred to the county jail.”
