Mr. Charles Vernon “Chuck” Layman, 73, passed away Saturday May 16, 2015 at the home of his sister. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on October 13, 1941 to Clyde and Jean Walton Layman who preceded him in death. He retired from IBM in Manassas, Virginia and again from Yurozo at Morrison, Tennessee in 2013. He attended Purdue College in West Lafayette Indiana.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Brown Layman; sons, Greg (Robin) Layman and Christopher (Millie) Layman; step-children, Shay (Brenda) Rankhorn and Shelia Allphin; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jo Ann (Jim) McCollum and Catherine Marshall; brothers, Richard (Judy), Roy (Charlotte) and Russell (Jane) Layman.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:30 PM Saturday May 23, 2015 at the People of the Living God Church followed by a private burial for the family only.  In lieu of flowers a gift for medical expenses would be appreciated.  Arrangements by: Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
