Max Albert Bryant – Obituary

Max Albert Bryant, 74, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born March 15, 1941, to Roy Earnest Bryant, Sr., and Maxine Devaughn Bryant. He was reared by his mother and grandfather, Willie Devaughn, in the Twenty-Mile Bottom area near Mantachie. He lived in Fulton since 1968. He worked for Penn Tire for 20 years and then worked for True Temper for 24 years. He was an avid hunter, especially turkey hunting. He loved his family and considered it a joy to spend time with them. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and he loved his cat Angel. He will be greatly missed.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 7, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Elder Bobby Howell officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Masonic Cemetery.

He leaves behind his wife of 48 years, Paula Haynes Bryant; five children, Bertha Bryant McMillen (Mark), Max Bryant, Jr., Paul A. Bryant, Shannon Bryant Hysaw (Chris), and Adora Bryant Morris (Eric), all of Fulton; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Roy Earnest Bryant, Jr.; and one sister, Doris Wyleene Nichols.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
