Michael Edward Piper, 57, entered Christ’s presence on April 23, 2015. Born on January 26, 1958 in Pensacola, Florida, Mike was the eldest son of the late William Piper and Elizabeth “Bizzy” Piper. He is survived by his mother, five sisters, Kathy Piper Bonds, Julie (Thomas) Carpenter, Krissy (Austin) Drinkall, Jennifer (Jayme) Lartigue and Suzanne (Patrick) Cooley; and one brother, Steven Piper. Mike is an uncle to 17 nieces and nephews. Mike was a lifelong and faithful Roman Catholic and a servant of Christ’s Church. He attended St. Juliana’s Catholic Church in West Palm Beach, Florida, where he was a devoted and helpful friend to all he met.
There will be a funeral Mass held on May 1, 2015, at the Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church in Decatur at 12:30 p.m. with family and friends to be received prior to the Mass. An internment will follow immediately. Mike will be missed.
