Funeral service for Oscar Lawrence, 74, will be Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ralph Henderson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 29, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Lawrence died on Monday, April 27, 2015 at his residence. He was born April 13, 1941, in Morgan County to Gurney Asbury Lawrence and Vera Core Black Lawrence. Mr. Lawrence was an electrician for General Motors at the Delphi Plant, prior to his retirement. He was preceded in death by his wife: Edna Leona Lawrence, his parents, a brother: Gurney “Buddy” Lawrence and three sisters: Ellen Levins, Adaline Driver and Ruth Brown.
