Funeral services for Mrs. Jewel Nichols Wilson, age 88, are scheduled for 1 PM, Saturday, February 21, 2015 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sand Ridge Cemetery. Mrs. Wilson passed away early Thursday in Lexington. She was born June 6, 1926 in Henderson County to the late Robert A. and Mintie Powers Nichols. She was retired from Brown Shoe Company, a member of Sand Ridge Baptist Church, and enjoyed sewing and being outdoors. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Birthel Wilson and two sisters, Dorthy Burton and Ouida Ballard. Survivors include her daughter, Shelia Phillips; her son, Ricky T. (Sandy) Wilson; four grandchildren, Misty Rutkowski (Dave), Kelly Barger (Clint), Jamie Walters (Paul), and Cody Phillips (Brooke); and eleven grandchildren.
