Elizabeth Ann Mordecai, age 65, of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, February 10th, 2015, at the Northwest Mississippi Medical Center-Hamilton in Hamilton, Alabama.
Visitation, 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 12th, 2015, at the Marion County Funeral Home in Hamilton, Alabama. Funeral service, 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 12th, following visitation, at the funeral home chapel. Burial in Lamar Memory Gardens, Vernon, Lamar County, Alabama.
Ann was preceded in death by her father, Marion Doris Mordecai (1913 – 1980) and her mother, Kara Jordan Mordecai (1916 – 1972). Her parents were married January 26th, 1946. Ann never married and chose to devote her life to the teaching profession. She loved her students and kept up with many of them even until their marriage and having children.
