Homegoing Service for Mr. Terry Steele, 49 of Decatur, Alabama will be noon, Saturday at Fletcher’s Chapel P.B. Church with Elder Kenneth Lankford officiating and inhumation to follow in Sterrs Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to funeral. Public viewing will be Thursday from 3-7 and Friday from 10-7 at Reynolds Funeral Home.
Mr. Terry Steele was born June 6, 1965 in North Courtland, Alabama to Ocie and Katie Mae Smith Steele. Terry accepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age. He united with the North Courtland P.B. Church where Elder W.T. Shackleford was the pastor. He later joined the Fletcher’s Chapel P.B. Church in Greenbrier, Alabama, where Elder Kenneth B. Lankford is the pastor. Terry accepted his call to the gospel ministry and was licensed. He served faithfully for almost twenty years as a devoted member.
Terry appreciated life to the fullest. He was a loving, kind and compassionate person to all who knew him. He finished his course in life on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Crestwood Medical Center in Huntsville, Alabama. Heaven has gained a true angel who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Terry leaves a legacy of love to be shared by his loving and devoted niece and caregiver: Bobbie Mason (Bernard) of Decatur, AL; His Wife: Lisa P. Steele; Three Children: Lameshia Steele of Boston, MA, Brenden Partridge and Lekenya Partridge both of Decatur, AL; One Granddaughter: Zatiyra Steele of Boston, MA; One Brother: Otis Steele (Carolyn) of Boston, MA; Six Sisters: Mahalia Martin (Steve), Barbara Steele both of Boston, MA, Diane Ricks (Bobby Joe) of North Courtland, AL, Angela Miller (Jerome) of Hillsboro, AL, Jacqueline Hampton (Wayne) of Boston, MA and Monetta Weaver of Louisville, KY; One Aunt: Gunese Steele of Decatur, AL. He also leaves a devoted Friend/Caregiver, LeeAster King of Decatur, AL.; and a host of relatives, friends and loved ones.
