Irene Velma Layman, age 95, died peacefully at home on January 8th, 2015. She was a member of Forest Hills Church of Christ. She is survived by sister, Clara Edwards of Charleston, WV; Lois Dennis of Weirton, WV; brother-in-law, Howard Sole of Moundsville, WV; son, Don Layman (Donna) of Moulton; grandchildren, Ginger Davis (John) of Florence, Wendi Morgan (Carl) of Signal Mountain, TN, and Jonathan Layman (Jamie) of Moulton; great-grandchildren, Garrison Davis, Paul and Mary Helen Morgan, and Pruitt and Nella Layman, and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Layman; parents, Bernard and Tassie (nee Cumberledge) Garrison; sisters, Mary McKelvey, Evelyn Menefee, Mabel Garrison, Norma Sole; and brothers, James Garrison, Berle Garrison and Donald Garrison.
A visitation will be held in the fellowship hall of Moulton Church of Christ on Sunday, January 11th from 3 to 5 p.m. The funeral will take place at noon on Wednesday, January 14th, at Blessing Funeral Home, Twinsburg, OH. Interment at Crown Hill Cemetery, Twinsburg, OH. Officiating will be Thomas Rucks, elder of Euclid Church of Christ. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Layman, Carl Morgan, John Davis, Bernie Garrison, Dan Dodick and Chris Logar.
