Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia McCay, age 84, are scheduled for 10 AM, Saturday, December 20, 2014 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sweetbud (Pleasant Grove) Cemetery. Mrs. McCay passed away Wednesday in Lexington. She was born July 23, 1930 in Chester County to the late James Vernon and Beulah Threadgill Bright. She was a homemaker and very family oriented. She was a member of Sand Ridge Baptist Church and was very active in church activities until her health failed. Mrs. McCay enjoyed her flowers and yard work. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Odus E. McCay and two brothers, James Bright and Billy Joe Bright. Survivors include her daughter, Ann (John Allen) Anderson of Lexington; her brother, Jerry Paul Bright of Nashville; her three sisters, Patsy Fry and Christine Bishop of Malesus-Jackson, and Joyce Ann Ward of Henderson; two grandchildren, Jim (Andrea) Anderson and Andy (Kristy) Anderson; and four great grandchildren, Adalyn, Jax, Aiden, and Jacob Anderson.
