Hazel Deshazier – Obituary

Hazel-Deshazier-1418300031was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on March 21, 1931 the daughter of the late Willie and Hattie Weaver Benson.

On July 15, 1974 she was united in marriage to Kenneth Eugene Deshazier, who survives.

Mrs. Deshazier was a homemaker and also had worked for Garan, K-Windsor and Brown Shoe Company. She was of the Pentecostal belief. Mrs. Deshazier enjoyed baking, canning, reading (especially the Bible), Gospel music and working word search books.

She departed this life on December 9, 2014 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 83 years, 8 months and 18 days.

In addition to her husband Kenneth of Savannah, Tennessee, she is survived by her children, Barbara Milford of Michie, Tennessee, Betty Jerrolds of Nashville, Tennessee, Sue Reece of Clifton, Tennessee, Janie Lineberry of Clifton, Tennessee and Ritchie Stricklin of Savannah, Tennessee

eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren

three sisters, Ruby Dennis of Savannah, Tennessee, Marie Cook of Savannah, Tennessee and Jo Ann Toole of Panama City, Florida

two brothers, Willie Ray Benson of Florence, Alabama and Jimmy Benson of Morris Chapel, Tennessee

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Maxine Stricklin and one brother, Junior Benson
