Mrs. Amanda E. Thompson Humphries, 88, of Florence, passed away Dec. 7, 2014, at ECM Hospital.
Visitation will be today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Donnie McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park. Grandsons and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Humphries was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L. Humphries, daughter, Jenny Lynn Humphries, three sisters, and three brothers.
She is survived by her sons, Marshall Humphries (Carol), of Gulf Shores, Alabama, Steve Humphries (Cathy), of Florence, and Jim Humphries (Gale), of Killen; daughters, Judy Humphries, of Florence, Jane Parker, of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Beth Humphries, of Florence; 17 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Shoals or a charity of your choice .
