Thomas ( Tommy) M Walker III, of Florence, AL, passed away on July 2,
2014 after a brief illness at age 64. Tom was currently employed by Sunbelt
Golf at Robert Trent Jones Course in Muscle Shoals. Raised on a cotton
farm in the Oakland community of Lauderdale county, Tom farmed with his
family for 20 years, while also working as an Ag Pilot for Larry Hale Flying
Service based out of the Oakland district. Tommy and wife Cindy are
members of Faith Church in Florence serving in ministry of helps and
music. Tom’s passions were flying/aviation and anything to do with the
outdoors. He also loved photography and reading on the subjects of
aviation, military history, nature, and Christ. A devout christian and devoted
husband, Tom is survived by wife Cindy R Walker, father Tuck Walker,
brothers Mike (wife Debbie) and Don Walker, niece and nephews, and the
many children of his heart. Celebration of life will be held Tuesday July 8th
at 11 a.m. at Faith Church, Florence, AL. Tom’s gentle nature, sense of
humor, wisdom, and deep devoted love of God, family, and friends will be
deeply missed by those that knew him.
