Geraldine Harp Morgan, age 77, of Danville passed away peacefully at her home on July 4, 2014.
She was retired from Prestolite of Decatur after working 37 years. Family, cooking and gardening were her passions.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John L Morgan, parents, Earl and Lelma Roberts Morgan and infant sister, Betty.
Survivors include daughter, Patty Morrison and husband, Garey, of Trussville; son, Timothy Morgan and wife Kim, of Sheffield; grandsons, Grady ( Jessica) Morrison, John Patrick Morrison, Ross (Meredith) Morgan and Reed Morgan; great grandchildren, Koi, Moses and Emma-Reese Morrison and Caroline Morgan; one brother, Bobby (Jean) and niece Christy.
Pallbearers will be her four grandsons, and Mike Bryant and James Topdan.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Rodney Harney and special caregiver Akia Rice.
Visitation will be Monday, July 7, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by the funeral at 11:00 a.m. at Shelton Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Vest officiating. Burial will be at Upton’s Chapel Cemetery in the Liberty Community.
