gregWalter G. (Greg) Lewis, 71, was born in Montreal, Canada. Greg was a 1960 Coffee High School graduate and a 1964 Florence State College graduate where he was a member of the golf team, an individual Conference champion runner-up in 1962 and individual champion in 1963. He was proud to be a part of the first team all-conference 1962-63 and team conference champions 1961-1963. 
Greg also served as a Captain in the United States Air Force/National Guard from1964 through1971 and was a Viet-Nam Veteran.
He served as President and CEO of Lewis Electric Supply Co., Inc. from 1975-2009 and Chairman from 1979-2014.
In the community, Greg was a member of the Shoals Rotary Club and served as President in 1987 and 1988. He was a Paul Harris fellow and had 22 years perfect attendance.
He served as President of the Greater Shoals/Colbert County Chamber of Commerce in 1986 and had the honor of serving as the first President of the newly formed Chamber of Commerce of the Shoals in 1987. 
Greg was awarded the Shoals Small Business Person of Year in 1997 and Lewis Electric Supply received the Small Business of Year Award that same year. Oil Reclamation Inc., was inducted into the Shoals Industrial Hall of Fame in 1991.
He received the Florence Police Department Life Saving Medal in 2010.
Greg was preceded by his parents, Walter (Wally) and Cecilia (Butsel) Lewis of Florence. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Patricia (Patty) Keister Lewis; sons Walter B (Burton) Lewis (Leigh) and Stephen Gregory Lewis (Amanda), daughter Catherine Lorraine Lewis and three grandchildren; Conner, Sam and Annalee, all of Florence, sister, Linda Lewis, nieces Laurie and Cher, and nephew Rob, all of
Tampa, Florida and several cousins in Canada.
Visitation will begin at 1 PM Tuesday at Greenview Funeral Home followed by the funeral service at 3 PM in Greenview Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Park. 
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Campbell, John Charles Crow, Jim Edwards, Odale Foster, Steve Lee, Terry Tinsley, Harold Wesson and Jimmy Williams.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill Cochran, John O. Hardeman, Jim Johnson, Bunky Jones, Jim Robertson and Joel VerPlank.
The family would like to thank Dr. Carlos Contreras and Michael of UAB and Dr. Kalliath and his staff.
