Born September 5, 1935, to Vivion and Minnie Sutton. Raised by his stepmother, Ida Hanvy Sutton. He married the love of his life, Lula Bell Harville on July 3, 1953. He was a member of Moulton Church of God of Prophecy. He was a lifelong farmer and retired from General Motors. He died at his home May 18th, 2014. 

Mr. Sutton is survived by three sons, Dale Sutton (Jenny) of Mount Hope, Rickey Sutton (Kathy) and Michael Sutton, both of Town Creek; five daughters, Kathy Borden (Ricky) of Mount Hope, Janice Bankston (Jesse) of Decatur, Debra Vess (Donnie) and Tina Flannagin (Joey), both of Town Creek, and Shelia Weeks (Jr.) of Hillsboro; sister, Jewel Anderson of Town Creek; 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lula Harville Sutton; his parents and stepmother.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dale Dilbeck, Bro. Wallace Willingham and Arlene Sutton officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Borden, Kris Sutton, Derek Sutton, Austen Stafford, Jarron Sutton and Mark Sutton.
