FLORENCE – Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce the opening of North Alabama Neuroservices. “This is a significant step in our efforts to provide specialized services to keep our residents at home for care,” said Russell Pigg, Chief Executive Officer of Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital.
Dr. John Kast
North Alabama Neuroservices is a provider of both neurology and neurosurgery. Dr. John Kast, neurosurgeon joined ECM staff in July and specializes in cranial, spine, nerve and vascular surgeries. Dr. Kast is a graduate of the Chicago School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency at George Washington University Medical Center. He recently completed a fellowship at Semmes-Murphy, Memphis, TN.
Dr. Vijayamala Bondugula
Dr. Vijayamala Bondugula and Dr. Paolo Tumminello, neurologists, specialties include the diagnosis and treatment of strokes, seizures, Parkinson’s disease, dementia, headaches, related sleep disorders, and other neurologic and nervous system conditions. Dr. Bondugula completed a residency in family and community medicine at Penn State University. She also has a mini-fellowship in movement disorders and a fellowship in neurophysiology from the University of Louisville, School of Medicine.
Dr. Paolo Tumminello
Dr. Tumminello earned her medical degree in Naples, Italy. She completed her residency at St. Agnes Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland and completed fellowships in neurology, electroencephalography and disorders of epilepsy from the Medical University of Charleston, South Carolina.
