THE SHOALS – The W.C. handy Music Festival is in full swing. And the summertime weather makes for a smokin’ great time here in The Shoals! Friday was a big day with music at lots of venues throughout the area. The Quad-Cities Daily was in the thick of things, recording the moment on photographs. These four sets of images are from Swampette Judy Hood’s tour of FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, and a very special tour of 3614 Jackson Highway, the original home of Muscle Shoals Sound Studios. Then it was onto the kickoff parade down Court Street, and finally to Wilson Park to hear the great sounds of The Midnighters.
